Time To Come Back Home

We’ve done the diligence of preparing spiritually and physically for this new venture.

Everything is in place with the nursing team, required equipment and we are on our way. Let’s go!

So we get to the door and first challenge is here. We live in a two story home and the wife is still bound to bed so the bedroom would be most comfortable place. Well we don’t have an elevator in our humble abode. Ambulance arrives and we are in the building. Support was awaiting our arrival. We’ve done it! Made it back home after two + years on the lamb.

Everything is everything through much prayer and alarms going off as needed. I’m no nurse by nature so I need reminders. We are getting the things done as best we can. The nursing support company backed out once we are at home. Second challenge is on and popping. No problem, Holy Spirit is still with us.

Then comes the trifecta. The wife is out of an important med and it’s not coming anytime soon. Troubleshooting at it’s best doesn’t allow us to operate safely now.

So we are at the hospital to get levels back in order and next steps on deck.

Wound up at another facility much closer to home, yet still away from home. Lessons learned and we’ll give it another go in HIS time.

The reality is that we don’t know all the things and don’t really have to. We should and will continue to keep pushing forward in the fight as the battle is the Lords and we haven’t “come this far, to only come this far”. #facts #allday

Not even knowing how far it will go; yet knowing however far it’s possible and probable. Keep on pushing & progressing as the next good thing is on deck. #igottimeforthat

Unfortunately there’s a myriad of causes that can result in this type of damage to one.

I won’t hold you with the formal items; here’s a link for the intricacies on that.

Ultimately I believe letting your armor get dusty is a big factor.

Spiritual armor dusty? Then negative items get in past your mind and spirit.

Physical armor dusty? Letting some items persist with health and bandaging them rather than sewing them up. Expect to live long and you will.

Mental armor dusty? The enemy has many tricks. Not staying consciously aware that something, someone, some force does not want you to make it.

This will be an eye opener for many; stay diligent, stay lifted up and stay ready; to protect and fight. It’s rightfully yours to live well and prosper. That way you don’t have to get ready.

Anoxic brain inury is gonna take longer than expected to get better. Reach out to some or all of these online support groups, soon. They have more information than the docs do on some items. I was a little; actually I don’t know how I felt when I mentioned storming to our Neuro. Oh we’ll she’s a great doc; maybe they call it something more technical or clinically defined.

They have a special groups on F acebook and t witte r. They can provide invaluable info on med situations, financial guidance, guardianship or conservator-ship, brain injury programs, analyze things that are not clear, and a virtual shoulder to lean on; as needed.

And the main source is there; always!

We all didn’t come this far to only come this far! We’ve got this; keep pressing forward!

What does anoxic brain injury mean?

Here’s a link for more formal explanation.

Now that’s out the way. This is how I see it.

It means things will be different; good or not so much, #perspective.

It means a lots of questioning about your loved ones ability and there fight or flight

It means a lots of questioning about your own ability and it’s fight or flight

It means some things will be better or bitter, #perspective

It means some things may be worse for a while as well

It means you will need to learn somethings that weren’t on deck

It means this life will be a challenge, did you expect something different?

It means you will have another chance to make a difference.

It means you are not God nor the Dr.’s or Nurses can fill those shoes.

It means you and your loved one have a work to do. So get to it and do it well.

Neurological Brain Storming (PSH) is a stage in the recovery that takes place as the body heals. It doesn’t present itself as healing through. It presents itself as something not many understand. It presents itself as I am another thing you have not been warned about. It would be great for a heads up on this. So heads up; should this be part of your process. This too shall pass.

Spasticity one has been known to occur in many of our people dealing with Anoxic Brains.

The Dr’s will be able to provide some needed initial medication. This is once they can recognize the issue. Muscles and limbs pulling at random times; will dumbfound the untrained eye. Please get abreast of some of these issues early on. The extent of the treatment and the other side of the problem is still on deck for our camp. No two injuries are the same.

Welcome to my page, my name is Thomas. These pages are for information, inspiration and hope. My family and I have been growing through some upgrades in the last couple years. My wife Sharon started her Anoxic recovery April 2019. I was advised to put on comfortable shoes soon after. This is likely something you’re possibly familiar with.

And yes growing through is the proper term. Since we are getting stronger and hopefully wiser as we go.

Although when that Red Sea is facing you smack dab front and center; “all things are possible”, quite frankly only seams plausible at best.

I know one thing for certain,two things for sure. That you and I are not alone in this thing called life. Besides possible family and friends in your corner. The most high is, has been and will continue to be there looking over HIS children. And that’s two things that can, will and should keep us all taking that next step.

I want to help with any information, inspiration and hope I can gather. I don’t have all the answers nor plan to. If I can help even one person with moving forward that would be a great day!
